What's a VA?
The VA profession is relatively new and it has been defined in many ways. My favorite (and in my opinion, most accurate) definition comes from AssistU, the cutting-edge and leading trainer of Virtual Assistants:
VAs are micro business owners who provide administrative and personal support while working in long-term collaborative relationships with only a handful of terrific clients. Using phone, fax and email, VAs support their clients without having to ever step foot inside the clients' offices.
It's a fabulous way of working, and opens new doors for administrative professionals!!
The distinguishing element here is the phrase, “long-term collaborative relationship”.
